Item Quality Policy
We strive to offer high-quality vintage clothing. Because we specialize in both wholesale and retail vintage fashion, we understand that the condition of the clothing is an important consideration for our customers. Our grading system is designed to provide transparency and give you an accurate picture of the condition of the items you purchase. Below, you'll find a detailed overview of our grading system, so you can make an informed decision when placing an order.
Our Grading System
Our vintage clothing is classified into three quality levels: A-Grade, B-Grade, and C-Grade. These classifications reflect the general condition of each item, including the quality of the fabric, the amount of wear, visible imperfections, and age. The price difference between the grades is based on the condition of the items: B-Grade and C-Grade often require more restoration or are less valuable in their current state. Below, you'll find an overview of what you can expect for each grade.
How is the quality of items assessed?
Each item is carefully inspected by our experienced team. We consider the following aspects when determining the grade:
✔ Fabric condition (tears, holes, wear, discoloration)
✔ Structure and shape (wear, stretching, distortion)
✔ Closures (buttons and zippers)
✔ Cleanliness (stains and odors)
Important: You are purchasing USED clothing. The items are not new, and some wear is expected. Please allow for a 20% margin of error in item quality due to the manual packaging of the boxes.
Our items are delivered in compact packaging, so they may be wrinkled upon arrival. This is normal and not a sign of damage or a defect. The wrinkles are easily removed by steaming the items yourself, or by washing and then steaming them. For added convenience, we offer an optional dry cleaning service. If you choose this option, we will ensure your items are professionally dry-cleaned and shipped wrinkle-free.
A-Grade – Excellent Condition
What you can expect:
A-Grade items are in very good condition and show little to no wear. They have barely been worn and may even appear unworn. There are no or barely visible stains, tears, or discoloration, and all buttons, zippers, and other closures are in good working order. Any slight discoloration or minimal wear due to age will not affect the garment's appearance.
B-Grade – Good Condition
What to expect:
B-Grade items have visible signs of wear, such as stains, holes, or minor fraying. Some imperfections can be easily repaired, but this does not apply to all items. These items are still perfectly wearable, despite the signs of wear.
C-Grade – Fair Condition
What to expect:
C-Grade items show clear signs of age and intensive use, such as large stains, significant discoloration, worn fabric, or larger holes. There may be torn or stretched areas, as well as other visible imperfections. These garments often require professional cleaning or repair before they are fully wearable again. Wear is common in delicate areas such as collars, buttons, and around stitching. While repair is sometimes possible, we cannot guarantee that all signs of wear can be completely removed or repaired.
The difference between Grade B and Grade C items is that the imperfections in Grade C are larger and more difficult to repair than in Grade B.
General remarks
Age and authenticity: Our vintage pieces come from different decades and may vary in wear depending on their age and use history. All items are guaranteed authentic.
Repairs and alterations: If you intend to resell Grade B or C items, we recommend considering the cost of repairs or restoration. Many vintage enthusiasts enjoy giving clothing a second life.
Sizing variations: Vintage sizes may vary from modern sizes. Unless otherwise stated, our bundles contain a mix of men's and women's clothing, and sometimes a small amount of children's clothing.
Washing: We recommend washing all received items for the best chance of resale. Before considering returns based on grading, we ask that you wash the items first to remove any imperfections.
